Caitlin Clark has the worst game of the season, fans are not happy: Fever still beat Storm

Caitlin Clark endured the most difficult performance of the WNBA season on Tuesday, but Indiana’s fever was still overcoming Seattle 94-86 storm, thanks to Standout reports by Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.

Clark, who was closely highlighted by the Seattle Forward Gabby Williams, was held in just six points-the lowest score of the season-in 3-from-13 shooting.

The beginner guard lost all six of her efforts in three points and committed eight cycles of work. Despite her struggles, she contributed with nine assists.

However, it was Mitchell and Boston who brought the Indiana offense. Mitchell scored 26 points in 8-from-14 shooting, including five three points, while Boston scored 31 career points and eight rebounds.

The fever shot 50.7 percent from the field and improved to 7-7, pushing a lost series of two games.

“They came out hard, we didn’t do it,” said Seattle’s Nneka Ogwumike. “When this happens you will play behind all year.”

The loss broke the win of Seattle’s three games and threw them at 9-6. The storm had entered the game as the top WNBA three-point shot team, but fought from the ARC, turning just 8-from-28 attempts (28.6 %).

Seattle also fought in key areas, losing the 38-18 recovery battle and committing 17 cycles of work, which led to 18 points in Indiana.

“They gave us tonight,” said Guard Skylar Diggins, who led the storm with 22 points and six assists. “It was faster in 50/50 balls, more natural, and just better in every category. It’s unacceptable.”

The race drew a multitude of 18,343 selling in the climate arena – most of the season this season – with a powerful contest from fans wearing the Clark No jersey. 22.

Despite the defensive success against Clark, Indiana led 45-39 to the half and expanded the margin with a 30-19 third quarter.

The storm put a delayed boost in the fourth, surpassing fever 28-19, but eventually fell soon. Erica Wheeler scored 20 points, including 14 in the final period, while Ogwumike added 16 and Williams had 11.

Fever coach Christie Sides believed in the team’s temper and the balanced scoring effort. “We executed well under pressure, especially in the third quarter. This gave us the pillow we needed.”

The coach of Seattle Noelle Quinn praised his team’s defensive approach to Clark, but recognized the decisive impact of Mitchell and Boston. “We did a great job containing Caitlin, but it was these two matchups that proved to be decisively.”

Fans in the social media, however, were not fully satisfied with Clark’s performance.
