Businessman explores car opportunities in Shanghai

BEIJING:

China has become a world leader in advanced automotive technologies in recent decades, said Fahad Iqbal Butt, Director of New Genuine Auto Parts.

While attending the ongoing Automechanika Shanghai 2023, held from November 29 to December 2, he said that Pakistan can benefit from these trends by partnering with Chinese companies and staying abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the industry.

Aiming to strengthen the presence of Pakistani companies in China and forge new partnerships, Butt is confident that the exhibition will provide him with the platform to connect with potential suppliers, manufacturers and distributors.

He added that “I am very impressed with the growth and development of the automotive industry in China, and we see great potential for cooperation between our two countries.”

Butt, who is participating in the event for the eighth time, revealed that having done business with China for nearly two decades, he came this year to develop new items related to agriculture or auto parts, such as filters and rings.

He also met with several Chinese auto companies to discuss possible cooperation, focusing on areas such as parts supply and technology transfer.

As a powerful global service platform for the automotive industry showcasing auto parts, repair, test and diagnostic equipment and service supplies, this year’s Automechanika Shanghai focuses on seven product categories covering 13 exhibition halls, with an overall focus on innovative technologies and cutting-edge solutions for the entire the automotive industry chain.

The exhibition attracted 5,652 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions and visitors from 28 countries and regions.
