Beijing: Beijing has warned Washington against what was called a “public event” after an American guided missile destroyer that fell through the sensitive strait of Taiwan.
The Chinese army said on Thursday that it had sent naval and air forces to monitor and warn an American guided rocket destroyer that fell through the sensitive strait of Taiwan – the second such mission since Donald.
The US Navy sends ships, occasionally accompanied by ships from allied countries, through its strait Taiwan about once a month. China, which claims that Taiwan as its own territory, says that the strategic floating road belongs to it.
China held the last round of Taiwan’s war struggles earlier this month, drawing a condemnation by Taipei and concern by the United States and its allies.
The Administration of the Eastern Theater of the People’s Liberation Army of China called the ship as a USS William P. Lawrence guidance destroyer and said it had passed from the Strait on Wednesday in a “public launch” act.
“Related observations of the United States have been correctly and incorrect, deformed legal authorities, confusing the public and misleading an international perception,” the order said in a statement, without specifying which comments was reported.
“We tell the United States to stop their distortions and retreat and work together to maintain peace and stability in the Strait of Taiwan.”
The mandate also published a brief video on the social media account showing a Chinese naval sailor observed by the US warship with a pair of binoculars. Did not give an accurate location for the meeting.
The American Indo-Pacific mandate said in an online statement that its ship had made a usual transit of the narrow “through the waters, where freedoms of navigation and excessive flight are in accordance with international law”.
Sailing shows our commitment to maintain freedom of navigation for all nations, he said.
“The rights and freedoms of navigation of the international community in the Strait of Taiwan should not be limited.”
The last public announced by the US Navy announced through the strait was in February, the month after Trump’s inauguration for a second term.
