At least 35 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza at dawn on Saturday, local hospital sources told Al Jazeera, as strikes intensified amid ongoing ceasefire negotiations. Among the dead were at least two citizens, reportedly waiting for the distribution of aid, sources said.

The Israeli army hit multiple areas, including the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, where at least two people were killed in a family home. Another strike in the Gaza Az-Zarqa neighborhood killed one person and injured others, according to the Palestinian News Agency.

A separate attack aims at a school that resorted to displaced citizens in Gaza, killing at least five, while one of the most deadly strikes hit an improvised scene on the al-mawasi, where seven members of an individual family were killed.

The escalation comes as Hamas issued a positive response to a proposed ceasefire agreement on what observers describe as a well -known model intensified bombardment before possible reconstruction agreements.

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, an Israeli strike hit the city of Shebaa, near the intersection of the Lebanese, Syrian and Israeli border Golan Heights. The details of the accidents were not readily available.

Gaza cease proposal

The core cease agreement includes a 60 -day cessation of hostilities, which will be guaranteed by US President Donald Trump, as Al Jazeera said.

In addition, under the ceasefire agreement, Hamas agreed to release 10 Israeli hostages alive and deliver the ruins of 18 others, starting from the first day of the truce.

The proposal would also allow for emergency humanitarian aid to Gaza, with food and supplies distributed through established mechanisms such as the United Nations and the Red Crescent.

Under the terms of the agreement, Israel would stop all aggressive military actions throughout the territory. Military operations, including surveillance flights, will stop for 10 hours a day.

During the ceasefire, the Israeli forces will be reinstated in northern Gaza, the Netzarim corridor and the southern areas of the lane. The plan further describes that the negotiations towards a permanent ceasefire will begin as soon as the temporary truce entered into force.

Israel’s War in Gaza

The Israeli army began a violent attack on Gaza since October 2023, killing at least 57,012 Palestinians, including 134,592 children. More than 111,588 people have been injured and more than 14,222 are missing and considered dead.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its enclave war. The proposed agreement includes a cessation of hostilities, increased humanitarian aid and negotiations for the liberation of prisoners.
