The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to reveal a program for the Asian Cup 2025 in the first week of July, as this basic evolution shows a shift from the previous uncertainty driven by India-Pakistan’s tensions.
This development has excluded reports indicating that India can be withdrawn from the tournament due to political tensions.
The upcoming tournament is likely to take place under a hybrid model, similar to the 2023 edition, which is expected to take place in the second week of September, with September being considered as a temporary start date, Tempate reported.
The UAE continues to remain the pioneer to host the tournament, although there is some discussion on the hybrid form, the report said.
While India is the designated host this time, the ACC had decided earlier that when it is India or Pakistan to host the Asia Cup, the tournament will take place in neutral space – for understandable reasons, he added.
In 2023, Pakistan was the official host, but due to political tensions, India chose to play all its matches in Sri Lanka under hybrid hospitality.
As a result, the tournament is expected to be fully held in the UAE or once again followed by a hybrid model.
Due to the upcoming World Cup ICC T20 2026, the 2025 Asian Cup is expected to take place in the T20 form to help participating teams accelerate the global event.
The six teams confirmed that they participated in the Asian Cup 2025 are Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the UAE.
Advertising activities for the event have already begun, with tournaments broadcast on Indian television and are widely available on social media platforms.
Meanwhile, the Cricket International Council (ICC) has published the programs for two world events – the Women’s World Cup in India and Sri Lanka and the women’s T20 World Cup in England.
The competing leaders are scheduled to face each other in both Tournaments on October 5 at Colombo and then on June 14, 2026 at Edgbaston.
