Anisimova said she was surprised to return to another final so soon, having taken the time after the American open and removing a tooth on her flight day.
“I didn’t really feel like I was in front of the tournament,” said the 24 -year -old, who is a victory away from a fourth career title.
“I was like. Is it a mistake I fly there (Beijing) and everything is a little far away in a bad start?
“But I think I learned … When I don’t feel my best of course or face a challenge, I really play better because I don’t have so much pressure.”
‘One of the best’
Anisimova stormed into a 5-0 first set of lead in 15 minutes, as an unusual crazy range hit a multitude of shots on the net.
The 21 -year -old reigning French open winner doubled twice to give Anisimova two points before finally reaching the scoreboard.
But it was very little, too late.
Gauuff’s nightmare continued in the second set, as Anisimova ran again 5-0 over her compatriot.
Gauff managed to close this deficit with two games, but an administrative Anisimova closed in less than an hour.
It was Anisimova’s fastest victory in the Chinese capital, where he made two or three returns.
“It’s definitely one of the best,” Gauuff said.
“Today I would like to perform better and I have to accelerate my game.”
Gauuff’s only previous loss in the center of Beijing’s Diamond Court was in the world number two IGA Swikek in Poland in 2023, also in the semifinals.
“It was a big year for me,” added Anisimova, who offered the WTA finals this week in Beijing.
Noskova ‘very happy’
Noskova surprised the most fancy American Pegula 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (8/6) to spend 2h 28 minutes and will challenge her biggest career match on Sunday.
“(Pegula) played incredible,” Noskova, 20 years old, he said.
“It was just two points away from a win or loss.
“I am very happy to win.”
The two played cleverly over intense gatherings, moving to each other around the stadium.
The decisive set was a nail, with the most experienced Pegula double-faulting at the race, before going to a tiebreak.
“It was a very tough fight mentally and physically and everything else, so I’ll just love this victory,” Noskova said.
She is after the second title of her career and first at 1000 level.
