Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri talks about the “thin” theme of “After Hunting”
Actors Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri say that the “thin” theme of their new movie “after hunting” initially made them approach it carefully.
Directed by Italy’s Luca Guadagnino, the film deals with Julia Roberts as Alma Imhoff, a Yale philosophy professor, whose life is upgraded when her long -term friend and colleague (Garfield) is accused by one of her beloved students.
The drama detects how the alleged liberal academics fight with issues of faith, power and identity when facing a claim for sexual assault and genetic lines of error.
“We’re safe?” Is this safe? Is it ok? “Is he responsible?” “” “” “
The star “The Bear” Edebiri said it was reassured by Guadagnino’s intentions and the “most human” conversations the film had before the project began.
“If it were just a challenge, then I don’t think any of us would be here,” he said, adding that the film “was just trying to connect and look for the answers to the root of these things, for humanity to it.”

“Call me by your name” and “queer” director Guadagnino said he started making a movie that would pass from today and that the film, which watches the conflicting and compromised character looking for the progress of career in the politically full of Yale atmosphere.
“I wanted to make sure we could make a movie in which you could see characters that behave in a way that somehow contradicts the way they were presented in the public sphere, which is what we do constantly,” he said.
Edebiri and Garfield said they hoped that the film would create a dialogue and cause emotions.
“If we continue to … we don’t look at each other and really dig, then Hurt continues to go and disguise in new ways,” Edebiri said. “We need to recognize the things that happen if we are to try to find real solutions,” he said.
The film also includes actors Michael Stuhlbarg, who plays his wife Imhoff Frederik and Chloe Sevigny depicting her colleague, Dr. Kim Sayers.
“After hunting” it takes a wide -ranging theatrical liberation on Friday (October 17).
