Thousands of protesters fell on the streets in the United States on Saturday in coordinated protests against Trump administration and its policies, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the US Revolution.
In the cities from Miami to San Francisco, crowds talked about the signs that read “NO Kings”, “the rule of law is America” and “Free Kilmar”, referring to Kilmar ábrego García-a Salvador father who was mentioned.
The marches, rallies, food movements and attempts to register voters were organized to oppose what the participants described as authoritarian governance and democratic support under the second term of President Donald Trump.
Guarantee “50501” – symbolizing 50 protests in 50 states for a movement – National Action Day covered over 900 events.
Despite the judicial orders, Trump’s administration has not yet facilitated his return.
The protesters also condemned the growing influence of Elon Musk, who as a senior Trump’s adviser, oversees sweeping cuts in federal programs and real estate.
Demonstrations outside of Tesla representatives accused the billionaire of helping to dismantle public services.
“There has never been this in my life,” said San Francisco’s demon Teri Lenfest, 79. “I have watched my country unfold.”
Other protesters underlined the arrests of international students, calling for the end of the aggressive imposition of immigration.
The signs called prisoners such as Mahmoud Khalil and Mohsen Mahdawi, drawing attention to what the organizers were called “silent cleaning of disagreement”.
While they are mainly peaceful, some tensions exploded between protesters and Trump supporters. Still, the movement drew praise for its scale and message.
Saturday’s protests follow April 5 “hands away!” marches, continuing a wave of resistance to the agenda of the administration.
