  • BCCI to submit a complaint against Naqvi over Trophy Row: Official.
  • The BCCI Secretary confirms the instructions in the closing ceremony team.
  • ACC T20 ASIA CUP 2025 The winners left the ground without a title trophy.

Following the dispute during the presentation ceremony after the final of the Asian Cup 2025, India takes the winner of the winner at the Kricket International Council (ICC).

The Indian team declined to collect the trophy from the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Mohsin Naqvi after defeating Pakistan in the final with five wicked in Dubai on Sunday.

Reportedly, the move came to the Instructions of the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI). However, Naqvi – who is also the chairman of the Pakistani Council (PCB) – remained stable that he would present the trophy as president of the ACC.

Minister BCCI Devajit Saikia has now confirmed the same with Indian media.

“We decided not to take the trophy from the president of the ACC, who happens to be one of Pakistan’s main leaders,” Saikia said the Indian media.

The dispute resulted in a brief delay in the presentation ceremony, which saw Pakistan’s players collect their medals as runners -up.

Presenter Simon Doull confirmed the conclusion of the ceremony after the race without the winning team that received the trophy.

“I have been informed by ACC that the Indian cricket team will not collect their awards tonight.

India players Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav, however, showed their individual awards.

The organizers then took with them the Asian Cup trophy, letting the Indian team wait to take their hands on the title trophy.

Naqvi’s insistence on presenting the trophy to the winning team came despite the recent acts of the Indian team to drag politics to the game, with Indian ruler Suryakumar Yadav to refuse a regular handshake with Pakistani Salman Ali Agha in their team’s game.

He repeated the same in the next two games, an act that has been convicted by experts around the world.

The BCCI secretary has now confirmed their plans to file a complaint against Naqvi in the Trophy series at the next ICT meeting scheduled in November.

BCCI secretary spoke on the same lines as India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who balances Cricket’s victory in “Sindoor”, the name given to India’s strikes in Pakistan, resulting in the martyrdom of many civilians.

“#OPERATIONSindoor in the game. The result is the same – India wins! Congratulations to our crickets,” Modi wrote in a position in X after the Asian Cup final.

Standing out to bring politics and war to the sport, Saikia said the Indian “Armed Forces surrendered to the border area. Now the same thing has been repeated in Dubai”.
