Jannik Sinner destroyed the defense of Champion Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday to win his first Wimbledon title, gaining sweet revenge for his painful defeat in the France France.
The world number one is the first Italian to win at the All England Club and now has four Grand Slams in his name at the age of 23.
The sinner remained cold after losing the first set, with the momentum shifting quickly and did not break once in the last three sets.
Three championships were broken in the final at Roland Garros last month, but this time he didn’t make any mistake as he served for a win.
The sinner said he was “living his dream”, causing an explosion of cheerfulness from the multitude of central court.
“A stunning tournament, thank you for the player you are,” he told the world number two Alcaraz. “It’s so hard to play against you.
“I will continue this (trophy). You already have two!”

The world of tennis has been captured by the appearance of new rivalry among the players to follow the story “Big Three” of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The sinner and two times defending the champion Wimbledon Alcaraz now shared the last seven Grand Slam titles between them, with the Italians winning four of them.
The victory in Paris last month was a bitter blow for Sinner, who led two sets and had a championship signs.
Prior to Sunday’s victory, he had lost five consecutive times against Alcaraz, including the Italian Open final in the first tournament he played after a three -month doping ban.
But this time he turned the tables impressive.
Both players were steady to serve until the fifth game, when Alcaraz was sprayed a forehand to deliver the sinner the first break of the race.
However, the Spaniard was leveled 4-4 in the enjoyment of the crowd of the Central Court, which included Prince William and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales.
Sinner double-faulted to hand alcaraz a second point.
The Italian put an inflatable barrier under the line, but Alcaraz produced a magical winner, showing his finger in his ear as the crowd climbed on their feet.
Momentum displacement
Sinner, who was still wearing a protective white sleeve after his bad fall in the fourth round match against Grigor Dimitrov, broke in the first game of the second set and 3-1 after the game stopped by a flying cork.
Sinner shook his racket after winning the first point as he served for the set and was rewarded with cheerfulness before leveling the race with a beaten forehand.
The third set was a tense case that went with service to the ninth game, when Sinner broke as Alcaraz slipped on the base line and went 2-1 up.
The momentum was now all with Sinner and broke again in the third game of the fourth set to get the match from the scruff of the neck.
The opportunity has always been where Alcaraz would produce the magic he found in Roland Garros, but Sinner remained concentrated.

The Spaniard had two breaks break to hit back in the eighth game, but Sinner closed the door.
The sinner went up to serve for the championship in a noise, sealing the deal in the second point of the championship.
The Italian traveled in the first three rounds to Wimbledon, losing just 17 races – he was equivalent to an open season record in 1972.
But he got lucky in the fourth round against the inspirational Bulgarian 19th Dimitrov seed, which was driving two sets when he suffered an injury that forced him to stop.
The sinner returned to the groove against the 10th Ben Shelton seed in the quarter -finals before demolishing seven times Djokovic champion for the last four.
Alcaraz aimed to become only the fifth man in the open time to win three successive Wimbledons after Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Federer and Djokovic.
Rivalry alcaraz
Sinner returned to court in May, reaching the final of the Italian Open, where he was hit by Alcaraz.
Subsequently, the French Open was in his program and again reached the title of the race, this time he is suffering from a heart stop as Alcaraz returned from two sets down, saving three points to defend his title.
This gave the Spaniard an 8-4 lead in the rivalry between the couple and it was his fifth straight victory.
But the tables were activated on Sunday, as the sinner showed an impressive mental power to return after the loss of the first set.
The sinner was born in German -speaking San Candido, northern Italy, near the border with Austria.
A career in professional tennis was not a given.
He was a skier champion as a young man and he still enjoys the sport out of season. He was also an intense footballer.
The right handler, who stands six feet 3 inches (191cm) high, won his first indoor title in Sofia in 2020.
The 2024 season was the year’s revolution, as it garnered its first Grand Slam, the Australian Open, followed by seven other titles, including the US Open.
It became the world number one – and the first Italian to reach first – last June.
Sinner’s super-power is his excellent ability to remain calm on the pitch.
“I know he’s just 23, but sometimes he feels like he’s much bigger and wiser than we are,” said Darren Cahill’s coach. “He’s an incredible young man.”
The sinner no secret to the fact that he loves the job he has chosen.
“I’m very lucky because tennis started a hobby when I was young, and now it’s my job,” he said.
“In my mind it’s still a hobby. I like to go to the court and just playing.
