Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, addressed to Pakistani investors and businessmen in Dubai on Monday, said Pakistan’s economy is gradually improving at a macroeconomic level.

It highlights the reduction in inflation to 2.4% in January 2025 and the 12% policy rate as indicators of positive economic tendencies.

The prime minister underlined several basic achievements, including exports, especially in the IT sector, and records high foreign remittances of $ 3 billion in January.

It attributes these improvements to the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which brought stability to the Pakistan’s economic landscape.

Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that the government’s goal is to sustainable economic growth, with key areas for growth, including mines and minerals, information technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture and the conversion of production to added value products.

He underlined Pakistan’s enormous natural resources, especially in the mines and mineral, which he said he had trillions of dollars in potential. Progress in this area, he noted, has already been made.

In the field of Informatics, the prime minister pointed out the demographic youth, with 60% of the Pakistan population between the ages of 15 and 30.

He emphasized the importance of training youth in artificial intelligence and creating employment opportunities, which he believes will play an important role in transforming Pakistan’s economy.

Regarding agriculture, Prime Minister Shehbaz recognized the country’s untapped potential, despite abundant resources. To deal with this, the government sends 1,000 fresh agricultural graduates to China for training in various areas of agriculture, with the project being funded by the government.

Finally, the prime minister spoke of the need to focus on converting production into value added products, an area where Pakistan has lagged. He assured that the government is working thoroughly to overcome this challenge.

He was completed by inviting the nation to work as a team to achieve success, stressing that dedicated efforts in these areas will help Pakistan not only recover lost ground but also accelerate progress.
