Despite being the lifeblood of characters’ lives, voice artists often don’t get the recognition they deserve. However, with its release Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueplayers take to the internet to praise an unsung hero, Muslim American voice actress Zehra Fazal.

Known for her impressive work voicing various DC Comics characters, the artist took to Instagram last month to express her delight at the opportunity to voice Wonder Woman with a trailer.
“Honest to God Zehra Fazal as Wonder Woman Suicide Squad KTJL it’s one of my favorite performances in the entire game. Every time she talks, I’m like, “Yeah, that’s Diana.” We really hope to see and hear her play Diana again in the future,” read a post on microblogging platform X.

Another user on X wrote: “Thank you for voicing two of my favorite characters. You embodied them perfectly,” with photos of Wonder Woman and MCU superhero Jane Foster. “Zehra Fazal’s voice as Wonder Woman was so good,” claimed another fan.
The game, developed by Rocksteady Studios, is the latest installment in the highly acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, after its success Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. Set in the DC Comics universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League It revolves around four supervillains – Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark – who come together to thwart the alien invader Brainiac and wipe out the brainwashed members of the Justice League. Wonder Woman, portrayed by Fazal, appears as one of the members of the Justice League in the game.
Fazal’s extensive experience voicing DC Comics characters includes notable roles such as Talia al Ghul in Batman: Death in the Family (2020) and Catwoman: Chase (2022), Bluebird on the fan favorite show Young Justice (2010–2023), Noor Rashid in Gotham Knights (2022) and various characters, including the supervillain Livewire, in My Adventures With Superman (2023–).
Apart from Fazal’s significant contribution to the game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has added significance as it marks the final performance by longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, who died in November 2022. Originally announced in August 2020, the game has faced many delays but finally released on February 2, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
