Tesla Cybertruck deliveries are reported as the company works to solve a problem with the vehicle’s investment. According to Electrek, Tesla has begun a “restraint” in some trucks due to concerns that the decorative lining, known as Cantrail, disconnects and flies away. Services representatives informed customers who are expecting a tradition that their trucks would be delayed, but did not explicitly tell them the reason for the occupation.
A “retention” is a precautionary measure taken by automakers to tackle a quality problem or defect before customers. In this case, Tesla reportedly announced to some customers that the problem is linked to the Cantrail Trim, which covers the ceilings above the door.
The severity of the issue can lead to a delay of several weeks, depending on how widespread the problem is.

The issue of investment was raised in previous complaints to the federal government, with some reports indicating that the Cantrail investment is attached using glue, which may not be as provided. A YouTube video from more than a month ago is sinking into the details of the Trim problem, further drawing attention to concerns about Cybertruck quality. This is not the first time the vehicle has dealt with issues related to its investment. Last summer, Tesla recalled over 11,000 trucks due to problems with “inappropriately attached torso tops.”
Since the official launch of Cybertruck in December 2023, the vehicle has been revoked seven times. Despite these issues, Tesla sold about 40,000 Cybertrucks in 2024, although it still has over 1 million reservations. Reports indicate that some cyberspace accumulates in used lots of car lots and there have been delays, with factory workers in Austin staying home for three days in December.
The vehicle has also been targeted for graffiti and vandalism due to Elon Musk’s controversial role as a special adviser to Trump’s administration, adding the challenges of the truck.
