LONDON: Speaking to reporters outside Stanhope House, former Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif responded to the show cause notice torn by PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
“Tearing notices doesn’t settle matters,” the PML-N Quaid told journalists.
Mian Nawaz Sharif also touched upon the support sought from the Baluchistan Awami Party (BAP) for Pakistan People’s Party candidate, Yousaf Raza Gilani as Senate Opposition Leader.
Addressing the reason of the show cause notice given to the PPP by the Pakistan Democratic Movement, Nawaz said: “How have you used the establishment’s people, the BAP, to make your leader of the opposition (in the Senate)”.
“This is unthinkable, this can’t even be conceived, that something like this could happen,” he added.
Nawaz clarified that an answer to the PDM’s show-cause notice was still pending and that “tearing notices doesn’t resolve matters”.
He further stated that unless an answer to the show cause notice was given, it would be difficult to work together with the PPP in the PDM.
