PTI expels Sher Afzal Marwat

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expelled Sher Afzal Marwat from the party, with an official notification issued confirming his removal. Govt negotiating team prepares written reply to PTI’s demands

The government’s negotiating team has finalized its response to the written demands submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Sources within the government reveal that the response rejects the PTI’s call for a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9th, citing the ongoing court proceedings and military court convictions related to the incidents. The government’s written reply argues that judicial commissions are formed only for matters not already under judicial consideration. Since cases related to the May 9th events are already before the courts, including those resulting in convictions by military courts, the formation of a separate judicial commission is

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has ruled out the imposition of the Governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced the conclusion of its protest in the federal capital, citing government-led crackdowns and instructions from its founder Imran Khan to decide its future course of action. The party’s spokesperson decried what they termed as “brutality” against peaceful demonstrators, claiming that at least eight workers were killed and scores injured during clashes with law enforcement. “The government’s violent response to a peaceful protest is condemnable,” the spokesperson stated. Islamabad police have arrested over 400 individuals for alleged involvement in vandalism, stone-pelting, and attacks on public property during the protests.
