Pfizer arrives in agreement with Trump to reduce Medicaid drug prices, prevent invoices

PFIZER (PFE.N) and President Donald Trump said they had reached an agreement on the basis of which the US -based pharmacist agreed to reduce the prices of drug prescription prices in the Medicaid program to match those charged to other developed countries in return for relief. Trump also said Pfizer would offer that the most favorable pricing of the national spot in all new drugs that started in the US and said other pharmacists would follow their example. PM Shehbaz directs establishment of world-class drug lab in ICT

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the establishment of an international-level drug testing laboratory in Islamabad to ensure global standards for medicines in the country. He gave these directions while chairing a meeting on health and pharmaceutical sector reforms in Islamabad. The Prime Minister also instructed to launch mobile hospitals to deliver healthcare facilities in the outskirts of Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Balochistan. Balanced pharmaceutical regulations sought

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman, addressing the media at the inauguration of the two-day Pak Pharma and Healthcare Expo at Expo Centre, Lahore, emphasized the importance of a balanced regulatory framework for the pharmaceutical industry, according to a statement on Wednesday. He stressed that while the caretaker government’s initiative to deregulate drug prices is laudable, the regulations should not be overly strict, risking the exit of pharmaceutical companies from the industry. According to the release, the 16th Pak Pharma & Healthcare Exhibition & Conference (PPE) began with over 400 stalls and the participation of 100 foreign and local exhibitors.
