Hegseth orders sweeping cuts in the US upper military leadership

Listen to the article US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth ordered a sweeping reduction in senior military leadership, directing the Pentagon to reduce the number of generals and four -star Nuara by at least 20%, according to a note received by CNN and confirmed by other stores. By 2023, there have been 37 active four -star officers throughout the army. Hegseth’s directive also includes a 20% reduction in National Guard General Officers and a 10% reduction in total general officers and marks – about 900 people ranked a star or higher.
