Pervaiz Malik laid to rest at Miani Sahib graveyard

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lahore President and Member of National Assembly Pervaiz Malik, who passed away on Monday, has been laid to rest at Miani Sahib graveyard. Earlier, the funeral prayer of Pervez Malik was attended by Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister Chaudhry Monis Elahi, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry and Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and people from the judiciary, business communities were also present. Born in Lahore on November 18, 1947, Malik Pervez was elected to the National Assembly five times. In 1997, he won NA-95 from Lahore. Victory from NA-120 in 2002 was his destiny.

PML-N MNA Pervaiz Malik passes away

LAHORE: PML-N MNA Pervaiz Malik passed away on Monday due to heart complications. He was 73. According to his son, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Pervaiz Malik had been ill for a long time and died after suffering from a heart attack. He had excused himself from the presidency due to his illness but continued to look after party affairs on the leadership’s direction, his son said. The deceased had been elected five times from Lahore, and had also been serving as the PML-N’s Lahore president. Malik’s wife, Shaista Pervaiz and their son, Ali Pervaiz Malik, are both MNAs as well.
