Posted on September 21 2025 We had grown up in history that love is pure and that the noblest marriages are the ones who are intact with calculation. Movies, songs and books tell us to look for the heart, not the wallet. Most Pakistani Elders tell us to be more practical – which means getting married for social and economic stability. Our fairy tales assure us that love can only face any storm. However, reality has shown over and over again that the old blasé says it is true: When poverty knocks on the door, love flies out the window.
