Footballer Abdullah Shah discusses the challenges, development of football in Pakistan

KARACHI: Abdullah Shah, a promising young center back from Pakistan, spoke about his journey in football in an exclusive interview with The Express Tribune. Starting his youth career with Mehran FC in 2013, Shah quickly caught the eye of the selectors and earned a place in Islamabad’s under-14 squad for the national youth championships. His breakthrough came in 2022 when, aged just 21, he became the youngest Pakistani player to join a foreign league, signing with Dhivehi Sifainge Club in the second division of the Maldives. He then received a call-up to the Pakistan senior national team in August 2022,
