Paris unveils ‘meat-free’ menu for 2024 Olympics that doesn’t sound very French

The 2024 Paris Olympics will be the ‘greenest’ Games yet. — Reuters, well plated/files The menu for this year’s Paris Olympics has been announced, but it looks to be quite different from what you’d expect from French cuisine. Despite its reputation for meat-based dishes such as foie gras, steak tartare and beef bourguignon, the Paris 2024 Olympics will offer mainly vegetarian options. The event is set to be the greenest Olympics yet, with plant-based meals including meatless hot dogs, falafel and plant-based ‘tuna’ served to athletes and guests this summer.
