Fears of meddling in the US presidential election: Iranian WhatsApp groups blocked

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has blocked several WhatsApp groups linked to Iranian hackers amid growing concerns about interference in the upcoming US presidential election. The Guards have endured one of their scariest spells in Syria since they arrived a decade ago to help President Bashar al-Assad in Syria’s war. Since December, Israeli strikes have killed more than half a dozen of its members, including one of the Guards’ top intelligence generals.
