FedEx cargo plane fell on fire in the middle of the flight after bird strike
A FedEx Boeing 767 cargo plane at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday after a bird strike caused a fire during take -off, officials said. The aircraft, intended for Memphis, declared emergency shortly after departure and returned to the airport. No injuries were reported, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). “Our B767 crew declared emergency and returned safely to the Newark (after) that deals with the resulting engine damage, including a fire,” Fedex said in a statement, praising the professionalism of pilots.
