Fly Jinnah flight makes emergency landing at Lahore airport

Fly Jinnah flight travelling from Karachi to Lahore made an emergency landing at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore after fire alarms went off in the cockpit on Monday. According to a Civil Airport Authority spokesperson, the captain of a cargo flight issued a “mayday” call at 7:15pm near Lahore, reporting smoke in the cargo compartment. But the private airliner safely landed at the airport at 7:23pm. The spokesperson stated that the airport authority’s Fire Department was on-site to handle the emergency and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated using the aircraft’s emergency exit system.
