Hezbollah fires missiles into Israel to avenge the commander

Hezbollah launched a major barrage of rockets at Israel on Sunday in retaliation for the killing of a senior commander in Beirut last month, the Iran-backed movement said, as Israel’s cabinet met to prepare a response. Israeli warplanes struck targets in Lebanon shortly before the strikes began, as the military assessed that Hezbollah was preparing to launch a barrage. “The IDF has identified the Hezbollah terrorist organization that was preparing to fire missiles and rockets into Israeli territory.
