Toyota, Honda Raise Hybrid Car Prices by Up to Rs1.3 Million After GST Concession Ends; Others Suspend Invoicing
Toyota and Honda have raised prices on their hybrid vehicle lineup by Rs1 million to Rs1.36 million following the expiry of Pakistan's hybrid sales tax concession on June 30, 2026. The Finance Act 2026 returned hybrid vehicles to the standard 25 percent GST rate, ending preferential treatment that had driven a surge in hybrid adoption. The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid now crosses Rs10 million; the Honda HR-V crosses Rs10.3 million. Hyundai, Kia, Haval, MG, Jaecoo, and GWM have suspended invoicing and deliveries pending revised pricing.
