China will train 3,000 international police officers, including Pakistanis, next year

China will train thousands of law enforcement officers from various countries over the next 12 months, its police chief said on Monday, as it seeks to strengthen its role as a global security provider. Police from China have trained 2,700 officers in the past year and plan to train another 3,000 from various countries in the next 12 months, Public Security Minister Wang Xiaohong said in a speech at a conference in eastern China. “We will (also) send police advisers to countries in need to conduct training to help them quickly and effectively improve their law enforcement capabilities,” Wang said.
