Red Bull officially relegate Liam Lawson, promote Yuki Tsunoda to Senior F1 Team
Red Bull confirmed Liam Lawson’s immediate degradation, replacing him with Yuki Tsunoda in front of the Japanese Grand Prix. The decision follows only two matches for Lawson in the Red Bull top team, with team lead Christian Horner reporting matches with RB21 as a key reason for the change. Tsunoda, 24, will now work together Max Verstappen, while Lawson returns to the races to compete with champion Isck Hadjar. “It was difficult to see Liam competing with the RB21 in the first two games and therefore we have collected the decision to make early change,” Horner said in a statement.
