Steps being taken to provide maximum facilities to masses: CM GB

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid has said that steps are being taken to provide maximum facilities to the fasting people during the month of Ramadan.

He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding the month of Ramadan in Gilgit.

He directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Sehar and Iftar hours in Skardu and Gilgit.

He said, for this purpose 60 million rupees have been sanctioned for running thermal generators in Skardu and 80 million rupees for Gilgit.

The Chief Minister directed Secretary Power to ensure the supply of electricity to water pumps to ensure water availability.

Khalid Khurshid took notice of the lack of food items under the Ramadan package in the utility stores and directed the provincial interior secretary to take steps to ensure the availability of food items in the utility stores under the Ramadan package. 

Profiteering and hoarding will not be tolerated in the province. 

Activate price control committees in all districts and crack down on profiteers.
