SUKKUR: The first meeting of the Senate of Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage was held with the support of the Universities & Boards Department, Government of Sindh.
The meeting was chaired by Muhammad Ismail Rahu, Pro-Chancellor and the Sindh Minister for Universities & Boards, Climate Change and Coastal Development. Along with Mr Rahu, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr Samreen Hussain Vice Chancellor (Acting) Aror University, MPA Abdul Bari Pitafi, MPA Ms Ghazala Siyal, Syed Naveed Hussain Shah, Director In-Charge, M&E Division, One nominee of HEC Pakistan, Muhammad Mureed Rahimoon, Secretary Universities & Boards Department, Prof. Dr Madad Ali Shah of Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr Zamir Abro. The members of the Senate praised the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and her team and applauded the progress of the University in such a short period. The House approved the recommendations of the Syndicate Meeting, including Service Statutes, various HR-related policies and Endowment Fund Trust. Senate members were presented with souvenirs made by the Faculty of Photography, Fine & Performing Arts. Later, members visited the Boutique, Arts & Crafts Gallery, all four Faculties of the university, and the Open-Air Museum.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Samreen Hussain extended her gratitude to all the learned members for their time and for making it possible to have the first-ever Senate meeting for this newly established university and mark its history.
