
LAHORE: Veteran cricketer Shoaib Malik was reportedly unhurt in a car crash here on Sunday.
According to the details, the incident happened after the 38-year-old skipper departed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player draft.
While the veteran right-handed batsman and right-arm off-spinner was reportedly safe, his sports car damaged severely from the front side after crashing into the truck near a restaurant close to the NHPC.
The star cricketer lost control of his sports car due to high speed which ended up skidding on the road and hitting a parked truck outside.
“It was just a happenstance accident and Almighty has been extremely Benevolent,” Shoaib Malik wrote on Twitter a couple of hours after the crash that had fans worrying for the cricket star.
“Thank you to each one of you who’ve reached out. I am deeply grateful for all the love and care,” he added.
