Shehbaz Sharif arrested after bail plea rejected by LHC

The Lahore High Court has rejected the bail plea of ​​opposition leader and PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif in a money laundering reference, after which he was taken into custody outside the courtroom.

At the last hearing, the Lahore High Court had directed Shahbaz Sharif’s lawyers to complete their arguments by Monday.

Following arguments presented by Shahbaz Sharif’s lawyers on Monday, the Lahore High Court decided to reject his bail plea, after which NAB officials arrested the opposition leader outside the courtroom.

He will be produced in the NAB court on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that in June this year, the Lahore High Court had granted bail to Shahbaz Sharif and directed him to submit a bail bond of Rs 500,000.

PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz said in her Twitter message that the only fault of Shahbaz Sharif was that he did not leave Nawaz Sharif’s side.
