The brother of PMLN leader Talal Chaudhry has confirmed that no incident of harassment took place and that unknown people in Faisalabad beat up Talal Chaudhry.
Earlier, government spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill had claimed that MNA Talal Chaudhry was beaten up by PML-N MNA Ayesha Rajab Ali’s brother because Talal allegedly harassed their sister, but this has been busted as fake news. Bilal Chaudhary said that PM House media cell was calling TV channels to run fake news about Talal Chaudhary because he is a critic of the government.
Journalist Zahid Gishkori confirmed on the microblogging site Twitter that he had spoken with the brothers of Ayesha Rajab Ali and they had condemned the violence against Talal Chaudhry and had denied any instance of harassment. Ayesha Rajab Ali told the Daily Pakistan that it was unfortunate that PM House media cell was issuing fake news to media houses, especially Shahbaz Gill.
It is being alleged that Dr Shahbaz Gill ran this fake news operation via ARY News as well as a little known media house which is being operated within the PM House.
The former state minister’s left arm had two fractures, for which he underwent a surgery at a private hospital in Lahore, sources at the medical facility said and added he also had bruises on his body.
Later, it was reported that actually Talal Chaudhry was the subject of a car accident which resulted in those injuries.
