Pakistan Vice President Shadab Khan is unlikely to appear in the upcoming Asia Minor Cup 2025 as he continues to recover from shoulder injury earlier this year.
The 26-year-old All-Rounder underwent surgery in the United Kingdom earlier in July, exacerbating the issue that had already excluded him from recent Pakistani T20i missions against Bangladesh and the continued tour of the West Indies.
It is estimated that Shadab will take at least three months to achieve complete suitability, making a return before October unlikely.
This time frame was effectively surrounded by the Asia Cup, which is due to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 9 to 28 September.

The Pakistani Critical Council (PCB) has not yet confirmed any replacement for Vice President T20.
During the recent series against Bangladesh, no deputy was named in the absence of Shadab and the team currently browsing the Caribbean also has a defined second ruler to stand by Governor Salman Ali Agha.
A formal update on Shadab’s recovery timetable has not yet been released by PCB.
Meanwhile, the Asian Cricket Council has confirmed the tournament program, with Pakistan launching their campaign against Oman on September 12. A long -awaited conflict with Indian opponents is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai.
This year’s Asia Cup will be challenged in the form of T20, acting as a preparatory event for the ICC T20 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka.
The tournament will have eight sides in two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, the UAE and Oman, while Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
The event will open with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong on September 9, with the final set for September 28.
If Pakistan and India go on the Super Four Stage, a second match between the two could possibly happen on September 21.
