SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sardar Najeeb Mehsud has been killed in an attack in Sararogha, South Waziristan.
According to the details, targeted killing has taken place in Sararogha village of South Waziristan in which Senior PPP leader Sardar Najibullah Mehsud was shot dead by unknown assailants.
Najeeb Mehsud was also a key member of grand Mehsud Jirga.
Meanwhile, Senior journalist Ihsanullah Tipu Mehsud while speaking to The Pakistan Daily said, “The law and order situation in the southern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is deteriorating day by day. There is a substantial uptick in TTP led attacks across the region. Key tribal elders in the region have been targeted in the same old post 9/11 manner.”
“Earlier Umar Khitab Sherani, ANP Mayoral candidate in Dera Ismail Khan was killed by unknown assailants. The assailants are still in large. So far we have been witnessing an utter failure of Law enforcement agencies to contain these attacks. The region has once again been gradually descending into pre-operation Zrb-e-Azb situation,” he added.
MNA Mohsin Dawar condemned the killing of Sardar Najeeb. In his tweet, he said, “Najib Mehsud, PPP’s candidate for NA 49 in South Waziristan in 2018 general elections has been killed in an attack earlier today in Sararogha South Waziristan.”
“Heartfelt condolences to his family. May he rest in peace. The security situation continues to deteriorate in our areas,” he added.
