Naif Alotaibi, a prominent Saudi Arabian media adviser and adviser, argued that people are seeking Riyadh’s help to resolve major global conflicts not only because of their strong economic position and political influence, but also because there are many more deeper factors.

Alotaibi, currently serving as press attaché at the Saudi Arabian embassy in Pakistan, expressed these views on a recent piece of opinion published in the Arabic news.

He undertook that Saudi Arabia has a huge political influence, making the credible mediator in resolving international differences.

However, this trust did not arise from the thin air. It has been the result of decades of diplomatic efforts, during which Riyadh has shown integrity, honesty and sincere commitment to achieve peace and stability – at regional and global level – even at high costs, said Saudi Arabia.

He said that people trust Riyadh because of his neutrality, justice in handling various issues and his ability to provide sustainable and fair solutions.

“This has gained the respect of the opposing parts and made it a focus on world diplomacy, where world leaders meet, seek its advice and are based on its contribution to resolving disputes and bridging disputes.

“This, in turn, has made Riyadh an acceptable and respected mediator from all conflicting sides,” according to Write.

In his opinion, he also underlined historical events that explained the reasons behind Riyadh’s position as a reliable mediator.

For many years, he said that Riyad had played a decisive role in ending international conflicts. It was decisive for the end of the 15 -year civil war in Lebanon through the 1989 TAIF agreement, which laid the foundation for peace and security in Lebanon.

In 1990, Saudi Arabia stood firmly with Kuwait when it invaded, helping to repel Iraqi’s aggression, restore Kuwaita’s sovereignty and mobilize the huge international support for its liberation.

Similarly, Riyadh also played a key role in the reconciliation of Morocco and Algeria after years of political tension during the 1980s, leading to the restoration of diplomatic ties, according to the author of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Press Attaché has said that these examples show how Riyadh has exploited its political influence, economic power and regime as a major energy producer to stop wars, resolve conflicts and weaken the crises between nations.
