ISLAMABAD: In an unprecedented show of unity between the opposition and the PTI government, Rana Sanaullah and Fawad Chaudhry have agreed on showing corruption trials live so that the people of Pakistan could better understand the allegations against Pakistan’s leaders.
The agreement was made during the famous programme Capital Talk hosted by Hamid Mir in which PML-N’s senior leader Rana Sanaullah and Minister for Science and Techonology, Fawad Chaudhry was on the guest panel.
Previously, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had made a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking the live coverage of his trial since he argued that he was not properly investigated and that the cases against him were politically motivated.
Surprisingly, Fawad Chaudhry who is considered an arch enemy of the PML-N agreed to this saying that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s petition was 100% right.
Rana Sanaullah who was accused in a heroin case expressed the desire for live coverage on his own narcotics case which is considered to be the one of the most blatant examples of political victimisation in recent times.
