LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab and PML Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has voiced open support to General (R) Bajwa, saying that both Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his party PMLQ are indebted to the retired Army Chief General (R) Bajwa.
These were his first comments after last night’s announcement by Imran Khan in which he said both the KP and Punjab assemblies would be dissolved on Friday, December 23.
In an interview with a private TV Channel, Pervaiz Elahi revealed that he had asked PTI Chairman Imran Khan not to talk about General (R) Bajwa, but the other day “Imran Khan made me sit with him and spoke against Gen (R) Bajwa which was wrong.”
Pervaiz Elahi said, from now onwards, if someone speaks against Gen (R) Bajwa, “I will speak against that person,” adding that Imran Khan was given every support during his days in power. He further said that no one should be ungrateful to his benefactor.
Pervaiz Elahi said Imran Khan wasn’t willing to sit together with his son Moonis Elahi, yet, PMLQ not only supported Imran Khan but has come all the way along with PTI.
Referring to Nawaz Sharif, he said his platelets were complete now, and since the children of Shehbaz Sharif had returned, Nawaz too would be returning soon to Pakistan ‘dry-cleaned’.
