Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Montecito neighborhood ‘appalled’ by their treatment of Royals as Omid Scobie row over ‘Endgame’ continues

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry face backlash from their Montecito, California hometown over latest claims in Omid Scobie’s book Game over, according to a royal expert.
As controversy rages in the UK over the claims in the book, Kinsey Schofield notes that the couple’s popularity is waning where they live.
Schofield reported that bookstores in Montecito are not interested in the newly launched Scobie’s Game over. He noted that residents are reportedly “horrified” by Meghan and Harry’s behavior towards the royal family.
While explosive royal stories continue to attract American audiences, Schofield suggested Meghan and Harry’s shocking rapprochement could damage their standing among influential social circles in the prestigious Montecito.
“So the titles are here. However, in Montecito, it seems that Harry and Meghan’s star has fallen quite a bit. Montecito bookstores refuse – I shouldn’t say they refuse, there’s just no interest in Endgame.
He noted that neighbors do not respect or appreciate the way the couple has handled family relationships since relocating from the UK in 2020.
He said: “This is from the Times, my friend Kieran Southern tells this story that Montecito bookstores are not covering Endgame, that Montecito neighbors are uninterested and horrified by the way Harry and Meghan disrespect their elders them and it seems that they are very hard on their family members.”
Montecito’s snub follows Oprah’s bombshell interview last year that ignited issues of racism within the monarchy. Game over revived it by naming the royals allegedly involved, although the author denies coordinating with the Sussexes.
