- Prime Minister Shehbaz honors the long -term commitment.
- Atta Tarar apologizes to the delay in the fighter’s reward.
- President, CM Bugti, praised for consistent support.
Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday, met with Khair Muhammad, the father of Mixed Martial Arts Champion Shahzaib Rind, and gave him a control of 5 million Rs, fulfilling a long -term promise to the athlete.
During a meeting in Islamabad, the prime minister transferred his best wishes to Rind’s upcoming battles and appreciated the fighter’s achievements on the world stage.
The gesture came days after the federal government’s publication for the federal government on the unfulfilled commitments that made him his international victories.
In a deleted position shared on X (formerly Twitter), Rind revealed that he promised him 5 million Rs in cash and 80 million Rs for training support after a great victory – promises that said they were never honored. Despite repeated attempts to contact the PM team for the past 1.5 years, he said he had received no answer.

However, he recognized continued support from people such as Sarfaraz Bugti, Asefa Bhutto Zardari and Dha Quetta, who said he stood by him throughout his journey.
Responding to the controversy, Federal Intelligence Minister Attaullah Tarar has officially apologized on Saturday, recognizing a bad communication and calling for the delay unjustified.
“Athletes like you are our real heroes,” Tarar wrote on X (formerly Twitter), ensuring that the prime minister had received a serious notice and instructed immediate resolution, adding that such violations “should never happen in the future”.
Shahzaib responded with appreciation, writing: “Thank you for your polite message and recognition.
Shahzaib Rind, a Balochistan fighter, made the story by winning the Karate Combat KC-49 Lightweight Heavyweight Championships in Singapore in 2024, defeating Brazil’s Luiz Victor Rocha.
He remained undefeated throughout the tournament and became the first Pakistani to win an important title of World Martial Arts.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari and Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti had awarded Shahzaib RS100 million and praised him for his honor in the country.
