President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that the White House will host an UFC event in 2026 as part of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Speaking to the Iowa State showrooms, Trump told supporters that promoting mixed martial arts would give a fight card to the White House, with space to accommodate about 25,000 spectators.
“We will have some incredible events, some professional events, some amateur events,” Trump said. “But the UFC match will be a big deal too.”

Details of the proposed event remain unclear. Neither the UFC nor the president of Dana White officially confirmed plans for the night of the race or its logistics.
Trump has maintained a long -term relationship with White and is a frequent UFC event. He has seen several high profile cards, including UFC 302, 309 and more recently at the UFC 314 in Miami, where she appeared on the cageside seat next to White.
White also introduced Trump into the Democratic National Convention of 2024 in Milwaukee, highlighting the close links between the two numbers.
The proposed UFC event will mark an unprecedented use of the White House for a professional sports showcase. While presidential homes have previously hosted musical performances, sports ceremonies and social gatherings, no such athletic competition on this scale has ever been on the spot.
If confirmed, the event would be part of a broader set of celebrations designed for the United States semiconductor in 2026.
