PMLN’s Zeeshan Malik slams PTI rhetoric on Nawaz’s truck photo

LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s political secretary, Zeeshan Malik has slammed the rhetoric by PTI which insinuated that the truck featuring pictures of Nawaz Sharif had a fake number plate.

In an exclusive conversation with The Pakistan Daily, Malik clarified that the truck was registered from Nagar in Gilgit Baltistan.

“There are thousands of trucks all across Pakistan which commemorate the services Mian Nawaz Sharif has imparted on the people of Pakistan. People express their love for Nawaz Sharif in different ways,” Zeeshan Malik said.

PTI leader Dr Shahbaz Gill had earlier claimed that the number plate belonging to the truck was fake and that the truck itself was stolen.

“This is a way petty thieves remember the bigger ones..” Dr Shahbaz Gill wrote on Twitter.

The number plate of the truck is NGR 306.

Sharing proof of the registration of the truck, Zeeshan Malik slammed SAPM Dr Shahbaz Gill for sharing inaccurate information without verifying whilst mentioning the negative effects it could cause on the person owning the truck.

Registration of the vehicle Dr Shahbaz Gill and Azhar Mashwani said was fake.

Earlier, Public News had reported on the vehicle’s registration based on a tweet of Punjab government official, Azhar Mashwani in which he shared screenshots on the vehicle registration in Punjab whilst implying that the registration didn’t exist and that the picture represented a “gang of thieves”.

Zeeshan Malik rebuked Mashwani sharing the registration in Gilgit Baltistan which has a different database from Punjab.

Commenting on the development, PMLN leader Attaullah Tarar said: “Have the PTI leaders ever spoken the truth? They don’t feel any shame.”
