PML-N Activist Sabir Mehmood allegedly abducted from Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) activist Sabir Mehmood Hashmi was reportedly abducted in Lahore.

According to the details, Hashmi was reportedly picked up at gunpoint from the Super Town Link Two area of Lahore.

Hashmi had been out on bail in a case registered against him under Section 20 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

At 2:14 pm on Monday, Hashmi had posted a video on Twitter of Sachal Naru, the son of missing journalist Mudassar Naru, who some claim has been forcibly disappeared.

“Mudassar Naru has been missing since 2018. He has not been recovered till today. At that time, his son Sachal was 6 months old. Today, he is celebrating his fourth birthday,” Hashmi wrote in his last Twitter post.

Meanwhile, Social media activists and PMLN workers are calling for Hashmi’s return.

PML-N MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt said, “Imran Khan’s fascist govt has forcefully kidnapped PMLN Social Media Activist Sabir Mehmood Hashmi, even though he has been fully complying with law & honoring the court.”
