PM Shehbaz arrives at Stanhope House to meet Nawaz Sharif

LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at Stanhope House to meet with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PMLN) Quaid and elder brother, Nawaz Sharif.

Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by Suleman Shehbaz whilst Ishaq Dar and Hasan Nawaz welcomed the Pakistani premier alongside Nawaz Sharif.

It is expected that the meeting between the brothers will last for around three hours where matters pertaining to Pakistan’s evolving situation will be discussed.

On the top of the agenda could be the selection of the new army chief in November, or whether to give the incumbent an extension as proposed by Imran Khan recently.

Mian Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to brief PMLN’s supremo regarding the economic challenges Pakistan currently faces and the steps the coalition government have taken to address these problems.

Sources claim that Mian Nawaz Sharif is closely monitoring the damage caused by unprecedented flooding and has asked the premier to provide immediate assistance to all victims.

Premier Sharif is expected to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral later today after which he will depart for New York for the 77th session United Nations General Assembly session.
