PM Khan performs groundbreaking of Farash Town apartments
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan looked strikingly handsome and healthy in a light grey Shalwar Kameez and Blazer whilst performing the groundbreaking of Farash Town apartments in Islamabad under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
While addressing the event, PM Imran Khan said the federal government is making progress in Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) told him to complete the housing project within two years.
The premier said that their efforts for providing easy loans to the nationals have borne fruit as the banks are ready to provide housing finance and many schemes are also being launched.
“Banks in Pakistan are not in the habit of giving loans to people without influence,” he said.
“People still face obstacles when approaching banks for small loans to make a house,” the premier told the audience, explaining that negotiations between the government and banks are still underway.
PM Khan also appreciated military engineering group Frontier Works Organisation’s (FWO) work on the housing project, mentioning FWO’s contribution in completing infrastructure work at Kartarpur Corridor in “record time”.
The Prime Minister said katchi abadis (slums) are increasing across Pakistan because people don’t have enough money to make houses.
He also praised Capital Development Authority (CDA) for providing 600 housing units to katchi abadis. He said that the residents of Farash Town apartments will get facilities.
