Pakistan’s FO slams India’s false flag operations after Goswami’s leaked messages
ISLAMABAD/NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s Foreign Office slammed India’s use of false flag operations to malign Pakistan after leaked Whatsapp messages of controversial anchor Arnab Goswami showed that he knew of the Pulwama attack and Balakot strike in advance.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs said: “The recent transcripts revelations in India further vindicate our consistent position that RSS-BJP Govt. stages “false flag” operations; maligns Pakistan with terrorism-related allegations; stokes hyper-nationalism in its bid to win elections.
“The transcripts also illustrate the unholy nexus b/w the ‘Hindutva’ regime & its cronies in the Indian media. Such actions by the reckless regime driven by considerations of domestic politics are gravely imperiling regional peace and security.”
Arnab Goswami and the admin of the Indian Broadcast Audience Research Council’s WhatsApp chat, were aware of high-level decisions in India.
In the chat, Goswami says: “No sir Pakistan. Something major will be done this time.”
On February 23, 2019, Arnab Goswami had already announced the big news about Pakistan by that there would be a bigger operation against Pakistan than usual. He knew that something out of the ordinary was about to happen in Kashmir.
Twitterati erupted in anger after Goswami’s leaked messages showed how the BJP-RSS nexus used the instrument of terrorism to influence the Indian elections.
Michael Kugelman, a senior associate at the Wilson Center said: “In a 2019 WhatsApp conversation, Arnab Goswami allegedly: -said that his TV channel’s ratings will benefit from the Pulwama attack, which killed 40 Indian troops. -predicted the Balakot strikes three days before they happened.”
Republic TV, the notorious Tv channel which has been instrumental in spewing hatred against Pakistan and Muslims tried to deflect responsibility, however, their spin was rejected by Twitter users.
An Indian user said: “Biggest Anti national’s channel is teaching patriotism to congress party ? Who had prior knowledge of balakot air strikes ? What is the proof Arnab didn’t pass info to Pak ? That’s the reason we couldn’t find any casualties! We saw his chats of rejoicing after Pulwama ! Idiot!”
