Pakistan reports 1,467 coronavirus cases, 2 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 2 more deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,307,174. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,974 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,467 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

488,608coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 448,479 in Punjab, 181,790 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 109,495 in Islamabad, 34,708 in Azad Kashmir, 33,661 in Balochistan and 10,433 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 23,891,112 coronavirus tests and 43,540 in the last 24 hours. 1,259,253 patients have recovered in the country whereas 615 patients are in critical condition.
