Opposition installed ‘spy cameras’ in Senate: Shibli Faraz

ISLAMABAD: The PTI senior leadership claimed that the spy cameras that were allegedly installed to distort the sanctity of the secret ballot were installed by the opposition.

Information Minister Shibli Faraz alleged that the opposition members reached the polling booth and created the drama of recovering spy cameras. “They are masters of doing such things,” the minister said and added that with the help of the same tactics the opposition won Senate seat from Islamabad.

Shibli Faraz said the opposition has ruined the norms in politics and the people of the country are aware of the opposition’s way of doing politics.

While speaking to the media, Senator Faisal Javed said that “they think of themselves as James Bond 007. How did they know where spy cameras have been installed? They directly went to the polling booths and this means that they knew something we didn’t.”

The entire nation has seen what they are capable of. We have been demanding for elections to be transparent. “People should accept their defeat gracefully.”

Meanwhile, Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry remarked that a CCTV camera may have been “misunderstood as a spy camera”.

PTI’s Amir Kiani said cameras have been installed in different parts of the hall. They are making an issue for no good reason. It seems that the opposition can see their defeat.

Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar had claimed to have recovered ‘spy cameras’ installed in polling booth ahead of crucial Senate chairman and deputy chairman elections.
