Omid Scobie just came under fire for attacking Kate Middleton’s family approach to work
Omid Scobie’s reaction to Kate Middleton’s family’s first approach to royal responsibilities has sparked a backlash.
All this has been shared in a piece about Daily Mailby Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith.
The piece began by referencing Omid’s book Endgame and writes: “Scobie manages to make this sound dumb, focusing incredibly on how ‘nervous’ she was allegedly about public speaking and was filmed for a segment on Blue Peter revealing Back To Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show’.
For those unfamiliar with Scobie’s charge in Endgame, it says: “Naturally shy and introverted, Kate has historically avoided giving interviews or public speaking, instead finding solace in engagements that were often led by a host while she silently followed along, giving a speech from script or teleprompter.”
Responding to this, Mr Goldsmith said: “I’ve had to take a bit of time to compose myself because that’s not the Kate I know and it’s just not true.”

Because “I saw her on the show and she was a natural.”
“I know she’s aware of her role and lets William take the lead on their projects together, but she’s very eloquent, as always, and refreshingly authentic.”
But more importantly, “why criticize someone who reads from a script? Bill Gates does. The Prime Minister does it. So is the President of the US,” he also said.
“Everything the dead man writes has an undeserved negative spin.”
Before concluding she also said: “No one who has watched Kate over the years could call her shy. He always gets involved and throws himself into the deep end. It’s the Middleton way. And I don’t think she’s had enunciation lessons, despite Scobie’s claim that she now sounds “heavier” than William. It sounds the same as always.”
