NAB investigation team reaches Dubai for probe into Toshakhana case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation team has reached Dubai for the probe into the Toshakhana case filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

A four-member team headed by Director NAB Rizwan Ahmed reached Dubai and will collect crucial information regarding the sale of the precious watch.

In an exclusive conversation with The Pakistan Daily, Umar Farooq Zahoor confirmed that he went to the Pakistan consulate in Dubai with the watch to meet the NAB team.

Pertinently, NAB has also summoned Imran Khan in the case on March 9. A notice has been sent to Imran Khan by NAB Rawalpindi.

On the other hand, the district court summoned PTI Chairman Imran Khan in a personal capacity on March 13 for an indictment in the Toshakhana case.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal took three recessions during the hearing of the case filed by the District Election Commissioner Islamabad as Imran Khan’s appeal against the issuance of his non-bailable warrants was being heard by the Islamabad High Court.

When the court was told about the suspension of Imran Khan’s arrest warrants by the IHC, it issued a summon notice for the accused for indictment on March 13.
